The Concept
Block Party 2022's theme was county fair, perfectly capturing the farming and cowboy vibe of the farm-to-fork capital. My key words were food, farm, and celebration. The color palette was anchored around signature barn red. A distressed texture was overlaid on the main design, and a frame with rounded corners enhanced the country vibe. The choice of a slab serif typeface for both the title and body text added the finishing touches, creating an unmistakable country fair feel.
To maintain consistency across various deliverables, elements like the burst, typeface, colors, and the frame and texture were consistently utilized.
Students participated in the event by collecting stamps on a "passport" featuring a corn design with kernels for stamping. Once completed, they could exchange it for a t-shirt. Additionally, food vouchers were distributed, offering items like hot dogs, cotton candy, and ice cream from the food court..
